Soprano
Rebecca Moulton is a Cambridge-based Spinto Soprano currently studying with Lynette Alcantara. She studied music at Anglia Ruskin University in 2000 before completing a PGCE in secondary music at Cambridge University in 2004. In 2016 she completed a two-year operatic course at Morley College, London working with Jonathan Cocker, Julia Burbach and Daisy Evans, and participating in workshops with David Cyrus, David Gowland and James Ramster. She has also participated in workshops with Dr. Ron Morris. In 2017 she attended the National Opera Studio’s Summer Course led by Della Jones.
On stage her roles include Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Foreign Princess (Rusalka), Suor Infermeria (Suor Angelica) 1st Lady (Magic Flute; concert performance) and Cathleen (Riders to the Sea). During her time at Morley College she also performed in operatic scenes including the characters Magda Sorel (The Consul), Lady B (Albert Herring), Leonora (Fidelio), Overseer (Elektra) and Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos).
Rebecca has performed in many recitals and concerts including recently in Haydn’s Nelson Mass with Cambridge Graduate Orchestra and Morley Chorus Society, and an operatic recital at Kensal Rise. She has also been on tour with CUMS Chorus and Wolfson Choir to Paris (Notre Dame), Thessaloniki and Tallinn. In 2009 she performed with Cambridge University Combined Choirs for the 800th anniversary celebration at the Royal Albert Hall, which was part of the BBC PROMs conducted by Andrew Davis with Simon Keenlyside as soloist.
